In the fourth quarter of 2024, the Maps and Navigation category in Italy saw notable activity across the top five applications on a unified platform. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at 82.5K in mid-December. Active users also experienced a rise, reaching 2.3M towards the end of the quarter.

Trenitalia maintained a robust presence, with weekly downloads ranging from 31.3K to 46.9K. Active users showed a strong base of around 2.5M, although there was a noticeable dip to about 2.1M at the end of December.

Moovit: Your Transit Tracker experienced steady revenue, peaking at $7.4K in early December. Downloads gradually declined from 42.8K to 25.6K, while active users saw a significant drop to 837K by the end of the quarter.

Trainline: Train travel Europe saw downloads peaking at 28.9K in late October. The active user count remained fairly stable, closing the quarter at approximately 850K.

Finally, Uber - Request a ride experienced a notable increase in downloads, reaching 51.4K in the last week of December. The app's active users also surged, ending the quarter at 418K.
